Introduced Arizona Senate Bill 1341 to establish Bitcoin as legal tender

On 25 January 2022, Senate Bill 1341 was introduced in the Arizona Senate by Senator Wendy Rogers. The Bill aims to establish the digital currency Bitcoin as legal tender in the State of Arizona. The Bill would make Bitcoin the only lawful digital currency, except for potential future digital currencies issued by the government. Individuals would be able to use it with payments regarding debts, taxes, dues and public charges. Companies would have the possibility to effectuate all the transactions in Bitcoin, including employee remuneration.
