Attorney General reached a settlement of USD 750,000 with AwesomeCalls over unlicensed investment advice

On 27 June 2025, the California Attorney General announced a USD 750,000 settlement with AwesomeCalls, a day trading chatroom, and its CEO for providing unlicensed investment advice and misleading consumers through exaggerated claims and false testimonials. Under the stipulated judgment, AwesomeCalls and its CEO are barred from offering investment advice without the required licence and from publishing deceptive advertisements about the profitability of their services, following findings that they misrepresented trading success and failed to disclose the CEO’s prior financial misconduct.
