On 4 July 2025, the Korea Communications Commission (KCC) adopted the Transparency Report on handling illegal filming materials, applying to online platforms including Naver, Kakao, Google, and Meta with annual revenue of over KRW 1 billion or more than 100'000 daily users. The report details how 81 domestic and foreign providers managed illegal filming materials, including sexually manipulated videos and child sexual exploitation content. The report highlighted 181'204 deletions or blocks in 2024, a 122.1% increase from the previous year. It also focused on the preventive measures and trained personnel deployed in line with the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes and the Act on the Protection of Children and Youth against Sexual Offenses.
