China: TC260 opened consultation on Guidelines for Detecting AI-Generated Synthetic Content

On 24 June 2025, the Secretariat of the National Cybersecurity Standardisation Technical Committee opened a consultation on the Guidelines for Detecting AI-Generated Synthetic Content until 6 July 2025. The guide would offer technical recommendations for the design, development, application, and testing of technologies for detecting AI-generated synthetic content. The guidelines cover content in various mediums, including text, images, audio, and video. It details implementation frameworks, objectives, processes, algorithms, and service encapsulation forms. The document aims to support the implementation of requirements under GB 45438-2025, particularly concerning the identification of content suspected of being synthetic by online information content dissemination services.
