United States of America: No Adversarial AI Act (HR 4142) was introduced to House of Representatives

On 25 June 2025, the No Adversarial AI Act (HR 4142) was introduced to the House of Representatives. The Bill mandates the Federal Acquisition Security Council to develop a list of AI produced or developed by foreign adversaries within 60 days of enactment and publish it within 180 days, requiring updates every 180 days. Executive agencies are prohibited from acquiring or using listed foreign adversary AI, though exceptions are permitted for specific purposes such as scientifically valid research or counterterrorism, provided written notice is given to relevant bodies.
