Launch of International Data Transfer Expert Council

On 25 January 2022, the International Data Transfer Expert Council was launched, as part of the UK Data National Strategy. The council is a gathering of experts comprised of international academics and digital business leaders, including Google, Mastercard, and Microsoft. The International Data Transfer Expert Council aims to give independent advise to the British government in order to assist it in achieving its aim of harnessing the advantages of open and secure cross-border data flows.
