Russia: Tagansky Court fined Apple for alleged promotion of non-traditional sexual relations (Case No. 05-0451/2025)

On 10 June 2025, Moscow's Tagansky Court fined Apple Distribution International LTD RUB 6 million for violating Part 3 of Article 6.21 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation, which prohibits "propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations" through mass media and internet platforms. Under the code, content that allegedly promotes LGBTQ+ relationships, gender transition, or choosing not to have children is classified as an administrative offense.
