Russia: Tagansky Court fined Apple for alleged promotion of "non-traditional sexual relations"

On 10 June 2025, Moscow's Tagansky Court fined Apple Distribution International RUB 6 million for violating Part 3 of Article 6.21 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation, which prohibits "propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations" through mass media and internet platforms. Under the code, content that allegedly promotes LGBTQ+ relationships, gender transition, or choosing not to have children is classified as an administrative offense punishable up to RUB 4 million for legal entities when violations occur through mass media or online platforms.
