Adopted CISA Advisory on Russian State-Sponsored Cyber Threats to US Critical Infrastructure

The US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) issued an advisory on "Understanding and Mitigating Russian State-Sponsored Cyber Threats to U.S. Critical Infrastructure". The advisory contains an overview of Russian state-sponsored cyber operations. Particularly, the commonly observed tactics are explained and incident response guidance is provided. The proposed mitigation measures are: enhance reporting processes, minimize personnel gaps in IT/OT security coverage, prepare a cyber incident response and resilience plan, follow best practices for identity and access management and increase organizational vigilance.
