Republic of Korea: Personal Information Protection Commission and Internet and Security Agency announced implementation framework of Global Cross-Border Policy Rules certification

On 2 June 2025, the Personal Information Protection Commission and the Korea Internet and Security Agency announced the implementation framework of the Global Cross-Border Policy Rules certification. The certification is intended to support the secure exchange of personal information between jurisdictions and promote adherence to recognised privacy management standards.
