Association of Southeast Asian Nations adopted ASEAN Political-Security Community Strategic Plan

On 26 May 2025, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) adopted the ASEAN Political-Security Community (APSC) Strategic Plan as part of the broader ASEAN Community Vision 2045 framework. The plan applies to providers of digital infrastructure, cybersecurity services, and Information and communications technology (ICT) -related economic activities, particularly for cross-border data flows and critical infrastructure. The plan promotes the exchange of information on cyber threats, the sharing of best practices, and confidence-building measures to enhance trust in digital systems. It also encourages collaboration with external partners to address cybercrime, online scams, and the misuse of ICTs and artificial intelligence.
