Description

Communications Regulatory Authority adopted order disabling access to guardaflix over continued copyright violations (Order No. 67/25/DDA)

On 9 May 2025, the Italian Communications Regulatory Authority (AGCOM) issued an Order under the Regulation on the protection of copyright on electronic communication networks, ordering the update of the list of disabled access sites to include http://guardaflix.hair and guardaflix.forum. This Order was taken following a report by Federation for the Protection of the Audiovisual and Multimedia Content Industries., indicating a reiteration of copyright violations previously addressed by AGCOM's Order. The sites were found to be aliases of the previously blocked http://guardaflix.bar, continuing to provide unauthorised access to copyrighted digital works in violation of Law No. 633/41 on protection of copyrights. The Order mandates the disabling of access to these domains within two days of notification, with non-compliance subject to sanctions.
