Competition Authority initiated investigation into alleged anti-competitive practices regarding Apple products and services

On 13 May 2025, the Competition Authority initiated an investigation under Law No. 4054 on the Protection of Competition into Apple Technology, Fintegre Technology Trade, Media Markt Turkey Trade, Teknosa Domestic and Foreign Trade, Arti Computer Sales and Education Services Construction Machinery Industry, Gürgençler Information Communication Domestic and Foreign Trade, Destek Information Project and Service Industry Foreign Trade, Easycep Information and Trade, Getmobil Technology, and HB Information Technologies Industry and Trade. The investigation was initiated based on findings raising suspicion that Apple Technology and Sales Limited Company may have determined the resale price of its products and/or coordinated repurchase prices. Furthermore, the investigation will examine findings suggesting that undertakings in the buyback market and Apple resellers may have restricted competition by exchanging competition-sensitive data through the Fintegre system, coordinated by Apple.
