Announced investigation on the legality of data transfers through Google Analytics

The Austrian Data Protection Authority (DSB) has received a complaint about an alleged unlawful transfer of personal data by the EU to the US through the implementation of the "Google Analytics" service by an Austrian health topics website. Consequently, the DSB started an investigation on the case. In particular, the complaint helds that, according to the "Schrems II" decision, the Austrian website has transferred data from the EU to the US without adequate protection.
