Description

Fair Trade Commission announced a Delivery Platform Case Processing Task Force to expedite handling of cases related to digital delivery platforms

On 12 May 2025, the Korea Fair Trade Commission announced a dedicated Delivery Platform Case Processing Task Force to centralise and expedite the handling of cases related to digital delivery platforms. The Task Force will handle cases relating to firms operating in the delivery platform sector, including food and goods delivery services, in response to a growing number of reports and increasingly complex unfair practices. It was highlighted that the cases were previously dispersed across multiple departments, whereas investigations will now be led by a specialised five-member team working alongside the economic analysis department to enable more coordinated and in-depth scrutiny of interrelated conduct.
