China: Closed registration for financial companies to join the Data security capability maturity certification (DSMM)

On 28 February 2022, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) has closed the registration of financial companies to the "Data security capability maturity certification" (DSMM). The registration was opened on 6 January 2022. The DSMM is based on the "Information Security Technology Data Security Maturity Model". The DSMM aims to help companies to discover data security problems and develop response strategies on four dimensions: organizational construction, system processes, technical tools, and personnel capabilities. The DSMM also helps companies formulate strategies regarding the safe treatment of data.
