China: National Cybersecurity Standardisation Technical Committee opened consultation on cybersecurity technical standard concerning secret sharing mechanisms

On 25 April 2025, the National Cybersecurity Standardisation Technical Committee of China (TC260) opened a consultation on the proposed cybersecurity technical standard concerning secret sharing mechanisms until 24 June 2025. The draft specifies general models and typical technical mechanisms for secret sharing, referencing international standards ISO/IEC 19592-1:2016 and ISO/IEC 19592-2:2017. It is intended to guide the development, implementation, and evaluation of secret sharing technologies within cybersecurity systems and applications, supporting the secure handling of sensitive information across sectors.
