Description

National Data Protection Authority released compliance package for processing personal data

On 15 April 2025, the National Data Protection Authority (ANPDP) released a compliance package consisting of one main guideline and four supporting templates. The primary document, "Compliance Procedures," serves as a step-by-step guideline for implementing Law 07-18, covering requirements such as appointing data protection representatives, forming internal compliance teams, and establishing lawful processing procedures. This is accompanied by templates, a confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement, a standard informational notice for obtaining data subject consent, an IT security charter, and a subcontractor agreement template compliant with Article 39 requirements. The package provides organisations with both the regulatory framework and ready-to-use forms to facilitate compliance with data protection obligations, including proper procedures for declarations, licence applications, and cross-border data transfers.
