Eight state privacy regulators signed memorandum of understanding on data privacy enforcement

On 16 April 2025, eight privacy regulators, including representatives from California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, New Jersey, and Oregon, signed a memorandum of understanding on data privacy enforcement. The initiative aims to ensure consistent application of privacy regulations across jurisdictions and to enhance consumer protection against the misuse of personal data. Based on the signed memorandum of understanding, the consortium will coordinate enforcement actions, share information and pool resources.
