On 14 April 2025, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) opened a public consultation until 27 May 2025, as part of a broader inquiry into the impact of federal regulations on competition. The aim of the consultation is to identify and reduce regulations that may act as barriers to market entry and protect existing incumbents, thereby hindering competition and innovation. Stakeholders including consumers, businesses, potential entrants, investors, and academics are invited to provide comments on which federal regulations may have anti-competitive effects.
