European Union: European Commission published Recommendation on Coordination of National Control Lists (2025/683)

On 8 April 2025, the European Commission adopted the Recommendation (EU) 2025/683 on the coordination of national control lists for dual-use items. The Recommendation outlines a framework intended to support alignment and information exchange among Member States in the area of export controls. It encourages voluntary cooperation when developing national control lists, including the option to share draft lists with the Commission and other Member States for feedback prior to adoption. The initiative builds on the Commission’s January 2024 White Paper and notes ongoing efforts to address developments in the global regulatory environment.
