Brazil: National Consumer Secretariat and the Prizes and Betting Secretariat adopted order mandating registration for online betting platforms

On 2 April 2025, the National Consumer Secretariat of the Ministry of Justice and Security and the Prizes and Betting Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance adopted the requirement for all online betting platforms to be registered on the Consumidor.gov.br platform. The requirement applies to all operators offering betting services in Brazil and aims to enhance transparency and consumer protection in the sector.
