Utah Digital Choice Act (HB 418) including enforcement provisions enters into force

On 1 July 2026, the enforcement provisions of the Utah Digital Choice Act (HB 418) enter into force. The provisions assign the Division of Consumer Protection responsibility for administering and enforcing the Act. The Division is authorised to impose administrative fines, initiate legal proceedings, and seek civil penalties for non-compliance. Courts may grant injunctive relief, order disgorgement, and award damages, with additional penalties applicable for violations of administrative or judicial orders.
