Algeria: Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups, and Micro-Enterprises established AI Council

On 26 June 2023, the AI Council was established as a scientific advisory body by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups, and Micro-Enterprises. The AI Council comprises experts from government, industry, and academia, both domestic and international, to provide recommendations for a cross-sectoral AI strategy and foster innovation in artificial intelligence.
