Algeria: Law No. 18-04 establishing the general rules relating to post and electronic communications including competition authority governance entered into force

On 13 May 2018, Law No. 18-04 establishing the general rules relating to post and electronic communications entered into force. The Regulatory Authority of Post and Electronic Communications (Articles 11-30) oversees competition in postal and electronic communications markets, with powers to investigate and sanction anti-competitive conduct (Articles 112-114).
