Algeria: Law No. 18-04 establishing the general rules relating to post and electronic communications including operational license requirement entered into force

On 13 May 2018, Law No. 18-04 establishing the general rules relating to post and electronic communications entered into force. Articles 123, 131, and 135 impose licensing (for network operators), general authorisations (for service providers), and declaration regimes (for certain services), with penalties for unauthorised activities under Articles 168-173.
