Announced creation of Trade Competition Commission (TCCT)-led Inter-agency working group to coordinate enforcement of Trade Competition Act (B.E. 2560)

On 19 March 2025, the Office of the Trade Competition Commission (OTCC) was formally appointed as part of a new inter-agency working group tasked with enforcing the Trade Competition Act against foreign businesses operating unlawfully in Thailand. The decision was made during the third meeting of the Committee on the Management of Foreign Goods and Businesses Violating the Law, chaired by the Minister of Commerce. The working group is responsible for coordinating enforcement, oversight, and follow-up efforts across government bodies to address violations, including unregistered businesses and substandard imports. The OTCC will work alongside relevant agencies to implement the national strategy for tackling unlawful foreign goods and nominee businesses.
