China: National Standards Committee adopted standard on Network attack definition and description specification (No. GB/T 37027-2025)

On 28 February 2025, the National Standards Committee, under the National Technical Committee for Cybersecurity Standardization (TC260), adopted the national standard on Network attack definition and description specification. The standard, applying to private sector entities such as network security providers, emergency response teams, and telecommunications companies sets unified criteria for identifying and judging network attacks and incidents. It aims to standardise detection and response practices across the industry and will be implemented on 1 September 2025.
