Government adops Decree Nº 2020-892 that lowers the control thresholds for FDI screening

On 23 July 2020, the French government adopted Decree Nº 2020-892 that temporarily lowers the threshold from 25% to 10% for the acquisition of voting rights by foreign investors in essential economic activities. The economic activities subject to the threshold includes, among other, information and technology, cryptology, data processing and collection, telecommunications services. The measure will be valid until 31 December 2020.
