Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs published report highlighting content moderation enforcement actions

On 10 March 2025, the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs reported handling 1.35 million instances of online pornographic and gambling content between 20 October 2024 and 8 March 2025. It was highlighted that 233,552 cases involved pornography, primarily from websites including X, while 1,118,849 cases were related to online gambling, with 1,017,274 traced to websites and IP addresses and 46,207 to Meta. It was also highlighted that in the first eight days of March alone, over 58,000 additional cases were addressed. The Ministry also highlighted that it plans to strengthen artificial intelligence-based monitoring to improve enforcement and enhance cooperation with global digital platforms.
