On 17 August 2005, the Executive Regulation of the Protection of Competition and Prohibition of Monopolistic Practices Law No. 3 of 2005 (promulgated by Prime Minister's Decree No. 1316 of 2005) entered into force. The regulation establishes rules against anti-competitive agreements, as detailed in Articles 10 to 12. It prohibits agreements or contracts between competing persons that aim to fix prices, allocate markets, coordinate bids, or restrict production or distribution. These provisions are designed to prevent collusive practices that harm competition and consumer welfare.
