On 17 August 2005, the Executive Regulation of the Protection of Competition and Prohibition of Monopolistic Practices Law No. 3 of 2005 (promulgated by Prime Minister's Decree No. 1316 of 2005) entered into force. The regulation addresses unilateral conduct by prohibiting persons holding a dominant market position from engaging in practices that abuse their dominance. Article 13 specifies actions such as restricting production, refusing to deal, imposing unfair conditions, or selling below cost to eliminate competitors. These rules aim to prevent dominant firms from distorting competition in the relevant market.
