Law on the Protection of Competition and the Prohibition of Monopolistic Practices (promulgated by Law No. 3 of 2005) including anti-competitive agreements regulation entered into force

On 16 May 2005, the Law on the Protection of Competition and the Prohibition of Monopolistic Practices (promulgated by Law No. 3 of 2005) entered into force. The law addresses anti-competitive agreements regulation in Articles 6 and 7, prohibiting agreements between competing persons or between a person and its suppliers or clients that restrict competition. Such agreements include price-fixing, market division, and coordination in tenders or auctions, which are deemed harmful to market competition.
