On 4 March 2025, the Artificial Intelligence (Regulation) Bill was introduced to the House of Lords, outlining regulatory principles for the AI Authority to ensure AI systems are safe, transparent, fair, accountable, and contestable. Companies developing or using AI would be required to comply with data protection, privacy, and intellectual property laws.
