National Computer and Cybercrimes Coordination Committee's order on Designation of Critical Infrastructure entered into force

On 20 January 2022, the National Computer and Cybercrimes Coordination Committee (NC4) adopted an order on the designation of critical infrastructure systems under the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act, 2018. The NC4 designated various systems across multiple sectors as critical infrastructure. These sectors include telecommunications, electoral, judicial, education, health, food, water, land, energy, transport, industry, banking, finance, defence, security, and public safety. Specific systems highlighted encompass mobile communication infrastructure, internet connectivity, electoral systems, judicial services, healthcare systems, agricultural and food production systems, water management, land administration, energy generation and distribution, transport systems, financial management, and national security services.
