Morocco: Law No. 20-13 relating to the Competition Council was endorsed by the Prime Minister

On 30 June 2014, the Prime Minister endorsed the text for Law No. 20-13 relating to the Competition Council. This law redefined the council’s status. The council is now tasked with regulating competition, overseeing anti-competitive practices, and ensuring transparency and fairness in economic activities. The law provides the council with the authority to analyse market conditions, control economic concentrations, and address unfair trade practices.
