New Zealand: OPC publishes guidance on sensitive information under Privacy Act 2020

On 16 December 2021, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (OPC), New Zealand's data protection regulator, published its guidance on working with sensitive information under the Privacy Act 2020. The guidance provides details on the definition of sensitive personal information and sensitive personal information within the Act, and expands on the appropriate standard of care for handling such information.
