Computer Crime Proclamation (No. 958/2016) including data protection authority governance entered into force

On 7 July 2016, the Computer Crime Proclamation No. 958/2016 including data protection authority governance entered into force. The Act grants investigative power to the public prosecutor and police, with the Information Network Security Agency (INSA) providing technical support, analysing collected information and assisting with evidentiary information. Additionally, the INSA is tasked with establishing an online computer crimes investigation system. Furthermore, the Act establishes the Executing Task Force to prevent and control computer crimes.
