United Kingdom: Competition and Markets Authority closes consultation on Synopsys-ANSYS proposed merger undertakings

On 26 February 2025, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) closes its public consultation on the proposed undertakings offered by Synopsys, Inc. and ANSYS, Inc. to address competition concerns arising from their anticipated merger. The consultation, which forms part of the CMA's investigation, invites stakeholders to assess the effectiveness of the proposed divestitures to Keysight Technologies aimed at mitigating substantial lessening of competition in the semiconductor sector.
