European Union: Adopted EDPB 01/2021 Guidelines on Examples regarding Personal Data Breach Notification

On 14 December 2021, the Guidelines on Examples regarding Personal Data Breach Notification are adopted and published by the European Data Protection Board (EDPB). In particular, the Guidelines contain a series of case studies on data breaches concerning ransomware, data exfiltration, lost or stolen devices, and human errors.
