Consumer protection authority issued a ruling with a fine against Yeesco over consumer rights violations

On 4 January 2025, the consumer protection authority of the state São Paulo, Procon-SP, issued a ruling against Yeesco Indústria e Comércio de Confecções, an e-commerce platform, with a fine of BRL 142,000. It was highlighted that Yeesco failed to deliver products on time and delays exceeding 90 days in reimbursing consumers, which are considered breaches of contract and abusive practices under the Consumer Protection Code. Additionally, Yeesco was found to obstruct the right to cancel transactions within seven days for purchases made outside commercial establishments.
