Sweden: Adopted amendment to Security Protection Act

The proposal for an amendment to the Security Protection Act is adopted by the Swedish Parliament. The amendment will enhance the role of security protection managers, incentivise the use of security protection agreements and requires special security assessments in case of procedures that involve security agreements, including consultation with the regulatory authority. Finally, the amendment enhances the supervisory authorities' investigative and sanctioning powers. The amendment will be implemented from 1 December 2021.
