German Federal Criminal Police Office closed investigation into online cybercrime marketplaces Cracked and Nulled for alleged facilitation of stolen data and hacking tools

On 30 January 2025, the German Federal Criminal Police Office, in coordination with international law enforcement agencies from eight countries, shut down the cybercrime forums Nulled and Cracked. It was highlighted that Cracked facilitated the sale of stolen login credentials, hacking tools, and malware-hosting servers, among other cybercrime-related services. Nulled sold stolen credentials, identification documents, and hacking tools, with over five million users and 43 million cybercrime tools. The operation led to confiscation 67 devices, 17 servers, 12 accounts, and 12 domains across ten countries. It also shut down a payment and hosting service linked to the platforms. The seized servers contain data on approximately 10 million registered users.
