United Kingdom: CMA closes consultation on investigation into Apple’s mobile ecosystem

On 12 February 2025, the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) closed its public consultation regarding its investigation into Apple’s mobile ecosystem. In particular, the CMA is investigating whether to designate Apple as having strategic market status (SMS) in the provision of its mobile ecosystem, including its mobile operating system (iOS and iPadOS), native app distribution (App Store), and mobile browser and browser Safari and WebKit).
