New York Department of Financial Services and Bank of England signed Transatlantic Regulatory Exchange

On 13 January 2025, the New York Department of Financial Services (DFS) and the Bank of England launched the Transatlantic Regulatory Exchange (TRE), a program to exchange senior staff and enhance collaboration on regulatory frameworks for emerging payments and digital assets. The inaugural exchange, commencing in February, will involve six-month secondments extendable up to one year, allowing regulators to share knowledge, support innovation, and harmonise approaches between the two institutions.
