Attorney General’s Office adopted advisory on application of existing California laws to Artificial Intelligence

The advisory outlines how existing consumer protection, civil rights, competition and privacy legislation govern AI development and deployment. The advisory stresses compliance with laws including the Unfair Competition Law, False Advertising Law, and civil rights protections to prevent bias and deceptive practices.
