Canada: Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission closes consultation on inquiry into market dynamics under modernised Broadcasting Act

On 24 February 2025, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) closes its public consultation on market dynamics within Canada’s broadcasting system under the Modernized Broadcasting Act. The consultation sought input on the dynamics between small, medium and large broadcasters, television service providers, and online streaming services. The feedback gathered will inform efforts to ensure the sustainability, fairness, and competitiveness of Canada’s broadcasting system.
