On 5 February 2024, the Supreme Council for Cybersecurity introduced the National Cybersecurity Strategy 2023-2027. The strategy outlines a roadmap for addressing the growing number of cyber incidents and threats through national projects focused on establishing frameworks and controls. Its objectives include developing a skilled cybersecurity workforce, fostering a national industry to support economic growth, and promoting cybersecurity awareness across all societal groups to reduce cybercrime risks. The strategy is organised into six areas: establishing a legislative framework, shifting societal perspectives on cybersecurity, strengthening national collaborations, building a resilient cyber defence system, advancing scientific research and innovation, and enhancing international partnerships.
