Adopted declaration to strengthen US-India strategic technology partnership including cooperation on artificial intelligence and quantum computing

On 6 January 2025, the United States and India issued a declaration to strengthen the US-India strategic technology partnership, including cooperation on artificial intelligence and quantum computing. The parties agreed to strengthen a strategic technology partnership originally launched in 2022, noted the progress in integrating technology and defence supply chains, and emphasised collaboration in space exploration, semiconductors, AI, quantum technologies, and clean energy. Specific commitments included promoting reciprocal investments in AI technology, strengthening cooperation around national security applications of AI, and further cooperation in quantum science and technology.
