Reached settlement in class action lawsuit against Apple for Siri voice assistant privacy violations

On 31 December 2024, Apple agreed to pay USD 95 million to plaintiffs to settle a class action lawsuit claiming that its Siri voice assistant violated user privacy. The claim alleged that Apple recorded private conversations after users inadvertently activated the voice assistant software and shared the data from these conversations with advertisers.
